Affordable skip bin hire Brisbane

Why choose our skip bins Brisbane service

We've been delivering skip bins across South East Queensland long enough to know that the job usually isn't the bin. It's the timing, the access and the weight.

  • Delivery and collection are quoted in the price, not added later.
  • Same day delivery on most Brisbane bookings placed before midday.
  • Five sizes from 2m³ to 9m³ and six separate waste categories, so you're matched to the right disposal rate.
  • Weight allowances explained upfront.
  • Drivers who'll place the bin where you asked rather than where's convenient for them.
  • Coverage across roughly 315 suburbs, so we're not quoting you a distance fee to come from the other side of town.

Skip bin sizes available for every project

2m³ – small clean-ups

Approximately 8 to 10 wheelie bins. Single room clear-outs, a couch and a mattress, light garden pruning. Footprint of a small car.

3m³ – household waste

Approximately 12 to 14 wheelie bins. Garage and shed clean-outs, a laundry or ensuite, a moderate garden tidy with shrubs.

4m³ – renovation jobs

Approximately 16 to 20 wheelie bins. A full bathroom renovation, a double garage, a medium landscaping project. This is the size most Brisbane households end up with.

6m³ – large clean-ups

Approximately 24 to 28 wheelie bins. Kitchen renovations, big backyard overhauls, pre-sale clear-outs, small commercial strip-outs. We also run a 9m³ above this for demolition and multi-room work.

What can you put in skip bins

  • Household waste, including furniture, whitegoods, textiles, toys and general clutter.
  • Garden waste, including branches, clippings, leaves, shrubs and palm fronds.
  • Furniture and mattresses.
  • Renovation debris, including timber, plasterboard, tiles, flooring and cabinetry.

Heavy materials such as concrete, brick, tile and soil belong in a heavy waste or concrete bin. They're priced for weight, and putting them through a general waste bin is how people end up with excess charges.

Nothing goes in any bin if it's asbestos, liquid paint, solvent, pesticide, motor oil, a gas bottle, a car battery or a tyre. Asbestos in particular is a legal issue in Queensland, not just a policy one. It has to go through a licensed removalist to a licensed facility.

Perfect for residential and commercial use

On the residential side, our skip bin hire Brisbane work is mostly renovations, moves, garden projects and estate clear-outs. Brisbane's housing stock has a lot of homes built in the seventies and eighties now cycling through their second or third renovation, which is why the 4m³ is our busiest bin.

Commercially, we supply builders, landscapers, property managers and retail fit-out crews. For projects running more than a couple of weeks we set up a swap schedule so a full bin gets exchanged for an empty one without a phone call each time. End of lease commercial cleans are the other regular one, and those are always tight on time, so we prioritise the collection.

Where the bin goes, and when you need a permit

On your own driveway you don't need anything. The bin sits on private property and it's your call.

On a road, footpath or nature strip you need a permit from the relevant council, and the council will want the operator's public liability insurance details. Brisbane City Council, Logan, Ipswich, Redland and Moreton Bay all run their own process and their own fee. Allow a few business days. We can help with the application.

Practical placement advice: pick a flat, solid surface. Check what's above the drop point, because the truck needs clearance to swing the bin off. Don't park a car in front of the bin on collection day, which sounds obvious and happens weekly.

Areas we service

We deliver skip bins Brisbane wide and across the wider region, roughly 315 suburbs in total. That includes the Brisbane northside and southside, Logan, Ipswich, the Redlands and Cleveland, Caboolture, Redcliffe, the northern Gold Coast corridor and Toowoomba. Enter your suburb when booking and the quote will reflect delivery to that address.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size skip bin do I need? +

Estimate your waste in wheelie bin loads and match it to the sizes above, then add about 20 percent. Most people underestimate. If you're between two sizes, take the larger one.

How much do skip bins cost in Brisbane? +

The three drivers are size, waste type and suburb. Green waste is the cheapest category and mixed heavy is the dearest. Call with your details and we'll quote the delivered price rather than a range.

Can I get a skip bin delivered today? +

Usually, for bookings before midday in well serviced suburbs. Larger bins have less spare capacity, so book ahead if you need a 6m³ or 9m³.

How long is the standard hire period? +

Enough for a typical residential job, with per day extensions if the project runs over. Ring us before the collection date rather than after.

What happens if I overfill the bin? +

The load has to sit level with the rim. An overfilled bin can't be legally transported, so the driver will either ask you to remove the excess or charge for a return trip. Load heavy flat items on the bottom and fill gaps as you go.

Do you recycle what's in the bin? +

Yes, through the facilities we use. Metals get separated, concrete is crushed into road base, timber is mulched or processed, and green waste is composted. Segregated loads recycle better than mixed ones, which is one reason the separate waste categories exist.

Can I put soil in a skip bin? +

Yes, but in a heavy waste bin. Soil runs about 1,500kg per cubic metre, so a 4m³ full of it is well past the weight limit for a general waste bin.
