Large skip bins for demolition, construction and major clean-outs, delivered across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
A jumbo skip bin is any bin at the large end of the range, usually 6m³ and above. Our biggest is 9m³, which holds roughly 36 to 40 wheelie bins worth of waste.
The word "jumbo" isn't a standard industry size, so it means slightly different things depending on who you ask. When customers ring us asking for jumbo skip bin hire, they almost always want either a 6m³ or a 9m³. What they're really asking is: what's the biggest bin that will fit on this site and hold everything in one go?
Here's the thing most people miss with the big bins. Volume is only half the equation. A 9m³ bin filled with concrete will pass its weight limit when it's less than a third full. Light bulky waste like furniture, plasterboard and packaging is where the large sizes earn their money.
Not a jumbo bin, but worth listing for comparison. Suits a single room or a small garden tidy.
A garage clean-out or a small renovation. Still fits comfortably on a single driveway.
Our most popular size. Handles a bathroom renovation or a solid whole-house declutter.
Around 24 to 28 wheelie bins. This is where the large end of the range starts. A full kitchen renovation, a large backyard overhaul with tree removal, or a small office strip-out. It's about 3 metres long and will take up most of a single driveway.
Our largest bin, roughly 36 to 40 wheelie bins. Built for demolition waste, multi-room renovations, commercial fit-out removals and site clean-ups. Needs a solid, level surface and clear overhead access for the truck's crane arm. Check for power lines and low branches before you book.
This trips up more bookings than anything else, so it's worth covering properly.
The truck needs room to reverse in and enough clearance above the drop point to swing the bin off. A 9m³ bin won't fit down a narrow shared driveway or under a carport. Soft ground is another problem. A loaded bin on wet lawn will sink, and then it can't be collected until the ground dries.
If your driveway won't take it, the alternatives are placing the bin on the street with a council permit, or dropping down to two smaller bins delivered in sequence. Ring us before you book and describe the access. We'd rather sort it out on the phone than have a driver turn around at your gate.
Jumbo skip bin hire is available across Brisbane and the wider South East Queensland region, covering roughly 315 suburbs. That takes in Brisbane north and south, Logan, Ipswich, the Redlands, Caboolture, Redcliffe, the northern Gold Coast corridor and Toowoomba. Larger bins are subject to truck availability on the day, so book ahead where you can.
There's no official definition. In practice it means 6m³ and up. Ours are the 6m³ and the 9m³.
It depends on the waste type more than the size. A 9m³ of light general waste and a 9m³ of mixed heavy waste are priced very differently because the disposal fees are different. Call with your job description and we'll quote the delivered price.
A 6m³ fits most standard driveways but takes up most of the width. A 9m³ needs a double driveway or a hardstand area. Send us a photo if you're not sure.
You can, but it's rarely the cheapest option. Concrete has a recycling pathway and a dedicated concrete bin is usually priced better per tonne. Mixing rubble through a general waste load pushes the whole load into a higher disposal category.
Standard hire applies, with per day extensions available. For trade sites we can arrange ongoing hire with scheduled swaps.
Often, yes, if you book early. Large bins have less spare capacity in the fleet than the small ones, so same day isn't guaranteed the way it is for a 2m³.
Not on private property. On a road, footpath or nature strip you do, and the council will want to see the operator's public liability insurance. We can help with the paperwork.
