The Lockyer Valley is farming country with a growing residential edge, and the waste reflects both. We deliver Lockyer bins across Gatton, Laidley, Plainland and the surrounding areas for household clean-ups, renovations, shed demolitions and property maintenance.

A shed clean-out on a farm is not the same as a garage clean-out in town. Decades of accumulated fencing wire, timber offcuts, roofing iron, old irrigation pipe, drums and machinery parts add up fast. Most rural shed jobs need a 6m³ at minimum and often a 9m³.
Tree work, windbreak maintenance and post-storm clearing all produce large volumes. Cut material short before loading. A bin packed with full-length limbs holds perhaps half what the same bin holds with material cut to a metre.
Roofing iron, old fencing wire, machinery parts and steel offcuts all have recovery value. Keeping them out of a mixed load is usually cheaper, and on a decent volume some scrap merchants will take it directly.
Unused agricultural chemicals, empty drums that haven't been triple-rinsed, and old fuel containers can't go in a skip bin. Queensland has industry take-back programs for agvet chemical containers, and unwanted chemicals need a specialist disposal pathway.
Excluded from every bin: asbestos, liquid paint, solvents, pesticides and agricultural chemicals, motor oil, fuel, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, batteries and tyres.
A specific warning for this area. Sheds, dairies and outbuildings put up before 1990 very commonly contain bonded asbestos sheeting, and old fibro water tanks turn up regularly. It has to go through a licensed asbestos removalist to a licensed facility under Queensland law. Get the structure assessed before you start pulling it apart, not after.
Two things determine whether a delivery goes smoothly out here.
The driveway surface. Unsealed access is fine dry and difficult wet. A loaded 9m³ on soft ground will sink and can't be collected until it firms up. If rain is coming, either put the bin on a hardstand area or plan the collection around the forecast.
Turning room. The truck has to get in, position, and get back out. Long single-track driveways without a turning circle can rule out the larger bins entirely.
Because the Lockyer Valley sits at the outer edge of our run, booking ahead makes a real difference. Same day is not the norm here the way it is in Brisbane. Give us a few days' notice and you get a better choice of dates and a smoother job.

Yes, on a scheduled basis. The delivered price includes the distance component so there's no surcharge added afterwards.
Rarely out here. Book a few days ahead and you'll have a much better run of it.
Usually a 6m³ or 9m³. Decades of stored material adds up faster than most people estimate.
Yes, as scrap metal in a construction waste bin. It's one of the better recovered streams.
Not in a skip bin. Triple-rinsed agvet containers go through the industry take-back program, and unwanted chemicals need specialist disposal.
Frequently, in pre-1990 structures. Get it assessed before demolition. No skip bin can take it.
Usually, if it's dry, firm and the truck has room to turn. Send a photo when you book.
