Jimboomba Skip Bins – Affordable and Reliable Skip Bin Hire

Jimboomba isn't suburban Brisbane and the bin bookings reflect that. Blocks out here run from generous residential lots up to genuine acreage, and the waste that comes off them is a different mix to what we collect in Chermside or Mount Gravatt.

What acreage properties actually generate

Green waste, and a lot of it

A five acre block with established trees produces green waste volumes that would fill three or four bins on a suburban lot. Storm season makes it worse. After a decent blow through the Logan Village and Cedar Grove area, we run green waste bins out for weeks. Cut branches short before loading — a bin packed with long limbs is half air, and cutting to a metre or less can be the difference between one 6m³ and two.

Shed and outbuilding waste

Rural blocks accumulate sheds, and sheds accumulate everything. Old fencing, roofing iron, timber offcuts, machinery parts, drums and general clutter. Shed demolitions are one of our most common Jimboomba jobs and they usually need a 6m³ or 9m³.

Fencing

Post and rail, star pickets, old wire, treated pine. Worth knowing that treated timber is not green waste, even though it came off the property. It goes in general or building waste, and putting it in a green waste bin contaminates the load.

Construction waste from new builds

Flagstone, Yarrabilba and the surrounding growth corridors are still building out, so there's steady demand for builder waste bins from trades working the area.

Waste types accepted in Jimboomba skip bins

  • Household waste, including furniture, whitegoods, mattresses, clothing and the contents of a shed.
  • Garden waste, including branches, clippings, leaves, shrubs and palm fronds.
  • Renovation waste, including timber, plasterboard, tiles, flooring and cabinetry.
  • Construction waste, including concrete, brick, rubble, roofing material and scrap metal.
  • Commercial waste, including office furniture, fit-out material, packaging and warehouse clean-outs.

What can't go in: asbestos, liquid paint, solvents, pesticides, motor oil, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, batteries and tyres. Two of these come up more often on rural properties than in town. Old fuel drums and unused agricultural chemicals both need separate disposal through a licensed pathway, and pre-1990 sheds frequently contain bonded asbestos sheeting. If you're pulling one down, get it assessed first.

Access on rural blocks

This deserves more attention out here than it does in the suburbs, because the failure modes are different.

Unsealed driveways. A gravel or dirt driveway is fine when it's dry and a serious problem when it isn't. A loaded 9m³ bin on soft ground will sink, and then it can't be collected until things dry out. If rain is forecast and your access is unsealed, either place the bin on a hardstand area or plan the collection around the weather.

Long driveways. The truck needs to get in, position, and get back out. On a long single-track driveway with no turning circle, that can be the deciding factor on bin size. Tell us the access when you book.

Overhead clearance. Gates, low branches and shed entries. The crane arm needs room above the drop point.

If you're not sure, send a photo. It takes a minute and saves a wasted delivery run.

Same day Jimboomba skip bin hire

Same day delivery is available subject to the day's schedule. Jimboomba sits at the outer end of our Logan run, so booking a day ahead gives you better availability and a wider choice of delivery windows than calling at eleven in the morning. Next day is straightforward.

FAQs – Jimboomba skip bins

Do you charge extra to deliver to Jimboomba? +

Delivery is priced into your quote by suburb, so you'll see the real number upfront rather than a surcharge on the invoice.

What size bin for a big acreage green waste clean-up? +

Usually a 6m³, and a 9m³ if there's tree removal involved. Cut branches short so they pack flat.

Can I put fence palings in a green waste bin? +

No. Treated and painted timber isn't green waste and will contaminate the load. It goes in general or building waste.

Can you deliver down a gravel driveway? +

Usually, if it's dry and firm and the truck has room to turn. Send us a photo if you're unsure.

Do you take old roofing iron from a shed demolition? +

Yes, as construction waste. Scrap metal is one of the better recovered streams.

What about asbestos in an old shed? +

Not in any bin. It has to go through a licensed asbestos removalist under Queensland law. Get pre-1990 structures assessed before demolition.

Do you service Beaudesert and Tamborine? +

Yes, both are within our regular run from the Jimboomba area.
