Loading a skip bin is harder work than anyone expects. Standard bins have walls around 1.2 metres high, and lifting broken concrete or wet soil over that, a hundred times, is a genuinely bad afternoon. Walk-in skip bins solve that with a rear door that drops open at ground level.
A walk-in bin is a standard skip bin with a hinged rear door. The door swings down and sits flat on the ground, forming a ramp. You wheel material in rather than lifting it over the side. That's the whole idea, and it changes the job more than it sounds like it should.
The obvious reason is speed. Wheelbarrowing beats lifting by a wide margin on any job producing more than a trailer load of heavy material.
The less obvious reason is injury. Lifting awkward loads above waist height, repeatedly, over a few hours, is how backs go. If you're a homeowner that's a ruined weekend. If you're running a site, it's a workplace incident and everything that comes with it. Rear door access removes most of the overhead lifting from the task.
There's also packing efficiency. A bin loaded over the side ends up with a mound in the middle and air in the corners. A bin loaded through the door gets packed from the back wall forward, and it takes noticeably more before it's full.
The exclusions are the same as any bin: asbestos, liquid paint, solvents, pesticides, motor oil, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, batteries, tyres and clinical waste.

One practical point people miss. The rear door needs clear ground behind it to open, so the bin can't be reversed hard against a fence or wall. Leave about a metre and a half at the rear.
You also want the ground reasonably level. On a sloping driveway the door will sit proud rather than flat, which makes the ramp less useful. Tell us the site is sloped when you book and the driver can position it to work with the fall rather than against it.
